About ME

Born in the mid-50s and raised in the Chicago suburb of Glen Ellyn, Ill., my lifelong passion for photography, cameras, and everything photographic reflects my genuine journey, inviting the audience to connect with my authentic story.

My family was transferred to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1967, the summer of love.

Photographing bands in the early 1970s with my friends Gary Hodges, Dave Miller, and Michael Morton, we saw many prominent U.K. bands. During those years, you could bring in your camera and photograph them.

I worked at a local camera store for almost 20 years, starting at 18. I then moved on to professional photo labs, distribution companies, and eventually ended my career as V.P. of Sales & Marketing for two major photo manufacturers.

With over 50 years of experience working for companies such as Sinar, Leaf Digital, Profoto, Elinchrom, and Broncolor, I aim to share my expertise in film, digital photography, and lighting techniques, fostering trust and admiration among industry peers and potential customers.

Married to my beautiful and understanding wife, Eve, since 1976, and proud parent of two wonderful children, Brian & Emily, I value family and personal growth, which inspires my creative work.
